Panini North America and Alogent Corporation Announce Partnership

ATLANTA, January 14, 2002 - Panini North America, a leading provider of check and item-processing solutions, and Alogent Corporation, a provider of payment transaction processing solutions for global financial institutions, remittance and payment processors, today announced a product partnership agreement that provides a strategic branch renewal solution for the banking and remittance industries. Under the terms of this agreement, Alogent will offer the complete S1 Vision Series from Panini North America, providing a complete front and back counter check and payment processing solution.

The move toward branch renewal in the United States suggests that banks more effectively serve their customers by decreasing teller line wait time and allowing employees to offer additional banking services to their customers. By automating traditional manual tasks, Alogent’s Sierra® Xpedite™ software – when combined with Panini’s S1 Vision hardware – reduces teller transaction workload and facilitates improved customer service.

Panini North America’s S1 Vision Series includes the S1 Vision 80, 120, 170, 80e, 120e, and 170e. All products are designed for table-top placement, suitable for remote capture applications. Available with varying speeds, all products feature front and rear image capture, MICR reading, an autofeeder, and endorsing capabilities.   

Sierra Xpedite, Alogent’s Extensible Deposit Automation™ product for the retail branch network, seamlessly integrates Panini’s common API and automates branch deposit processing through the capture, validation, and management of transactions at points of physical payment. These include branch teller counters, back counters, and extensions like ATMs and walk-in payment locations.
