Alogent Names Financial Industry Veteran Brent Johnson Product Manager
ATLANTA, April 19, 2002 – Alogent Corp., a leading developer of payment
transaction processing solutions for global financial institutions, payment and
remittance processors, announced that Brent Johnson has joined the company as
product manager for Alogent’s Sierra Clearing product. In his new
position, Johnson will play a key role in defining Alogent’s product direction
with emphasis on the US market for next generation central clearing
systems.
Johnson comes to Alogent with more than 24 years of in-depth
technical experience and 15 years in senior management positions with
large-scale, highly complex, banking and financial information systems
environments. He has also gained 18+ years of IBM Check Processing &
Control Systems (IBM CPCS) knowledge.
Most recently, Johnson was vice president of Product Development for BANCTEC,
Inc. in Irving, Texas. While there, he was responsible for the company’s
banking and financial information systems product line business operations
including business development, market analysis and sales planning, application
systems development, professional services and implementation. Johnson
also managed multiple profit and loss cost centers, while developing strategic
business partnerships and providing key customer relationship management.
Prior to BANCTEC, Inc., he was employed for over five years at Check
Solutions in Memphis, Tennessee where he focused on systems integration, product
technology and architecture for their line of banking software
products. Before joining Check Solutions, he spent nine years with
Cedalion Systems, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina where his major focus was on
general management and technical consulting centered around IBM CPCS and US, UK
and international check processing and banking communication systems. He
began his career with First Union National Bank also located in Charlotte, North
Carolina.

develop comprehensive product plans, from both a technical and commercial

Johnson is a member of GUIDE International, Global
Concepts, Center for Creative Leadership and The Association for Work Process
Improvement (TAWPI). He earned an A.S. in Business Data Processing and
Computer Science and a B.S. in Business Administration.
